Teachers can help by:
- Labeling art materials as well as classroom guides like folders, shelves and cubbies.
- Avoiding or modifying lessons and assignments that rely on color coding or color recognition.
- Avoiding colored chalk (especially difficult to see on a green board).
- Assigning partners for science experiments and map reading.
- Flagging color-dependent questions on standardized tests.
- Understanding and respecting children with Color Vision Deficiency.
