Help For Educators

Teachers can help by:

  • Labeling art materials as well as classroom guides like folders, shelves and cubbies.
  • Avoiding or modifying lessons and assignments that rely on color coding or color recognition.
  • Avoiding colored chalk (especially difficult to see on a green board).
  • Assigning partners for science experiments and map reading.
  • Flagging color-dependent questions on standardized tests.
  • Understanding and respecting children with Color Vision Deficiency.
